Wrongful DeathWhen someone’s death is caused by another’s fault, the deceased’s family can be compensated for their loss. The phrase “wrongful death” describes the result of an action, not a specific theory of liability. When the consequences of a defective product, automobile negligence or any other theory of fault is death the case is called a wrongful death action. Time limits vary.
